Role Overview The Creative Director will define and lead product‑driven creative direction for Aspen Collection, a luxury performance and lifestyle brand, and a growing portfolio of ventures. This leader blends merchant instincts and creative vision to shape how our brand comes to life through product, presentation, and storytelling. With a primary focus on product design & development, line plan management, and brand identity, the Creative Director will drive the look, feel, and emotional resonance of the Aspen Collection from line concepting and assortment storytelling to go‑to‑market presentation. This role reports to the COO, Aspen Ventures.

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,000 – $170,000 (actual pay dependent on budget and experience. All salaried roles are eligible for bonus.)

Essential Job Functions

Define and evolve the creative direction of Aspen Collection’s product line, ensuring alignment with the brand’s performance and mountain lifestyle ethos, consumer insights, and assortment strategy.

Partner with the Product team and design agency to develop the seasonal narrative including color stories, fabric direction, silhouette strategy, identify hero styles, and product hierarchy.

Translate product strategy into compelling narratives that elevate the line architecture, innovation stories, and overall consumer experience.

Oversee the product’s aesthetic expression to ensure cohesive, compelling brand identity. This includes material and trim direction to packaging, marketing, and in‑store presentation.

Lead creative development for product collaborations, ensuring strategic alignment, brand elevation, and authenticity.

Own the seasonal creative brief including defining the product stories, campaign direction, fabric/silhouette stories, and key visual frameworks that guide go‑to‑market execution.

Direct the visual merchandising, campaign imagery, and lookbook storytelling to bring the collection to life across channels.

Partner with Marketing, Digital, and PR teams to ensure that all creative expressions reinforce the product’s hero stories and brand DNA.

Guide creative partners and in‑house teams in producing compelling, aspirational imagery and storytelling assets that elevate the brand.

Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team (Product Development and Integrated Marketing Manager), fostering collaboration between product, brand, and creative functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Product Design, Marketing, or related field.

15+ years of experience in creative direction, product merchandising, or brand leadership within lifestyle, fashion, luxury, or performance categories.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Deep understanding of product as the core brand driver, with strong aesthetic, taste, and luxury sensibility.

Proven experience leading product storytelling and go‑to‑market alignment in growth or lifestyle brands.

Strong partnership with Merchandising and Design—able to articulate creative ideas in business terms.

Experience overseeing seasonal line management, collaborations, and product presentation.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Passion for luxury, performance, and outdoor lifestyle culture.

Proven ability to translate product strategy into compelling brand and campaign expressions.

Ability to balance commercial strategy and brand differentiation, translating product innovation into a cohesive, aspirational brand world.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements

No adverse or hazardous conditions

Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
