Job Summary The Production Artist (PA) works with creative teams to produce high‑quality content for digital and print advertising. PAs are the final checkpoint in the creative design process. They review the final copy, layouts, and content in print or digital form to ensure brand standards across color, font, production quality, and more.
Location Chicago, IL
Salary $55K – $65K
Work Arrangement Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Skills Needed
Create finished products that meet organizational branding goals. (Meticulous and goal oriented with sharp attention to detail)
Understanding of content design and digital creation for web.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with art directors, designers and developers.
Package and preflight files for release to vendors or media partners.
Catalog files while maintaining established naming process and folder structure.
Content authoring for web using proprietary CMS and general web‑building applications.
Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Adapt to project changes and optimize workflow.
Prepare press‑ready files based on supplied specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field (preferred). Significant coursework in graphic design, visual arts, or related field is acceptable.
Outstanding portfolio and experience demonstrating clear knowledge of production and design.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Figma.
Creative thinking and innovative approach.
Team player open to constructive feedback.
