Overview A leading global marketing team is seeking an experienced
Lead Media Planner (AVP)
to drive the strategic development, planning, and execution of paid media campaigns across multiple business lines. This role will be based in a growing Boston office and will play a critical part in shaping brand visibility, corporate reputation, and thematic campaigns on a global scale.
About the Role The AVP, Lead Media Planner will oversee paid media initiatives across digital, social, print, and out-of-home channels, ensuring data-driven, impactful investments. Working within the Brand Marketing team, this individual will collaborate closely with Channel Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative teams, and external agency partners to optimize performance, enhance engagement, and deliver measurable results.
This position requires a unique blend of strategic insight, analytical rigor, and operational excellence to advance marketing objectives and fuel growth.
Key Responsibilities Lead strategic planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns across global and regional markets. Translate business objectives into actionable media strategies in partnership with brand, content, and communications teams. Manage agency relationships to ensure best-in-class planning, buying, and reporting. Develop media plans, audience targeting strategies, and channel mix recommendations across digital, social, print, broadcast, and out-of-home. Serve as the internal expert on paid media, advising senior leaders on investment strategies and emerging opportunities. Monitor campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to maximize ROI. Oversee data integrity, campaign tracking, analytics, and reporting processes. Manage paid media budgets and quarterly forecasting. Ideal Experience
7-10 years of experience in media planning and buying, with expertise across digital and traditional channels and B2B audiences. Proven success managing complex, multi-market campaigns and agency partnerships. Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn performance data into strategic optimizations. Deep understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement frameworks. Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders. Proficiency in campaign analytics tools, ad-tech platforms, and social media advertising systems. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
