Music Adjunct Instructor Pool (AY 25-26)

We are seeking part‑time faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Music at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Positions are temporary (4 months per year, FTE 0.5) and available until the end of the 2025‑2026 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction in a variety of subject areas, including Voice, Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Jazz, Music Theory, Music History, and Music Appreciation.
• Support a rigorous learning environment and meet department and university teaching standards.
• In positions that include online instruction, structure courses in Canvas and provide effective online learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Music or a related field with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in Music (Doctorate preferred).
• Demonstrated record of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching.
• Ability to design and deliver curriculum online (for courses with online components).
