The Director of Public Relations (PR) and Marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping and promoting Bowen Health’s brand, mission, and services across multiple platforms both internally and externally. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic PR, marketing, and digital engagement initiatives that elevate awareness of integrated care, Bowen Health services and programs, support talent acquisition efforts, and foster community trust. The role serves as the primary liaison with media outlets, manages social media presence, and oversees the creation of compelling content that reflects the organization’s values and impact. Through collaboration with executive leadership, clinical teams, consultants and community partners, this leader ensures consistent messaging, drives audience engagement, and strengthens the organization’s reputation as a trusted voice in healthcare.

Duties/Responsibilities

Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position.   • Lead and manage the PR and Marketing team, ensuring staff are well‑trained, supported, and compliant with all mandatory training requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies to build a high‑performing team.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, competency reviews, time‑off approvals, disciplinary actions, payroll processes, and career development initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning and execution of PR and marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Lead and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies across Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Promote Bowen Health services to drive patient engagement and choice.
  • Collaborate proactively and positively with leadership, clinical teams, agencies, and community partners to amplify messaging and foster strong relationships.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that effectively resonate with target audiences and align with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze and incorporate internal and external data‑driven insights into the marketing mix to optimize business performance and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate and strategize with internal teams and external stakeholders/consultants to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing and PR initiatives.
  • Manage social media presence across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Glassdoor, and TikTok.
  • Develop digital campaigns that educate, engage, and build brand loyalty.
  • Analyze metrics and trends to optimize content strategy and report performance insights.
  • Serve as primary media liaison and oversee press releases, media kits, and talking points.
  • Create compelling multimedia content including videos, blogs, podcasts, and stories.
  • Create talent acquisition campaigns that promote company culture, brand image and attract quality candidates.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging and lead initiatives that build trust and reputation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

  • Skilled in building relationships with media outlets and managing press communications.
  • Ability to interpret data and metrics to optimize campaign performance and audience engagement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM), including keyword research, on‑page/off‑page optimization, paid search campaigns, and performance analytics to drive measurable growth in traffic and conversions.
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with leadership, clinical teams, and external partners.
  • Experience maintaining consistent messaging and enhancing organizational reputation.
  • Understanding of employer branding and supporting talent acquisition through strategic communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required. Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in PR, marketing, or communications, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors preferred.
  • Certificate or Professional License: None required.
  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance coverage.
  • Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
