The YES Yoga Afterschool program seeks a talented teaching artist for 2025. This position entails conducting one to two afterschool sessions per week. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is passionate about leading accessible, interactive, and enriching activities integrating mindfulness and emotional intelligence in every lesson. Candidates should be comfortable leading age appropriate lessons with students in Pre‑K through 5th grade. Residency Areas
Textile Art Theater & Performance Art Visual Arts (comic book art, sketchwork, painting) Mixed Media Production Qualifications
Experience teaching elementary age group Experience teaching students with a wide range of socioeconomic, ethnic, racial, and gender identities and backgrounds Experience with curriculum design and preparation A spirit of collaboration and positive attitude in teamwork Knowledge of NYC public school systems Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing classroom circumstances Passionate about integrating mindfulness into arts education Job Details
Job Type: Hourly/Contractor Rate: $65/session Schedule: Sessions run between 3:00‑5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Application
