Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities beyond the reach of existing networks.
As a UX Designer II, you will be a valuable member of Amazon Leo’s Customer Devices Experiences team, defining and designing exceptional user experiences that delight customers across the globe. You will create beautiful, compelling user interface designs used by customers across various market segments and industries.
Amazon Leo’s success requires leaders who are owners and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Leaders solve complex problems and get things done. As a UX Designer, you will own the user journey and experience for a collection of use cases that span multiple product interfaces and device form factors.
Key job responsibilities
Design customer journey flows and low, medium and high‑fidelity user interface mockups/wireframes.
Lead cross‑functional design review meetings for input and sign‑off on design artifacts.
Create design briefs, proposals, reports and executive summaries to keep the product team and Amazon Leo leadership informed of design opportunities and progress.
Provide design clarification and consultation to engineers during UX feature development.
Provide design assets (product screen flows, user guidelines/explainers, etc.) to the Amazon Leo Marketing Team for use on external‑facing websites and promotional materials.
Participate and provide input in product change‑control processes post‑launch.
Deliver design solutions for large‑scope, complex projects and lead design initiatives that have successfully launched.

Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of mass‑market consumer web or mobile product experience.
Experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers to implement designs.
Export Control Requirement: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted U.S. refugee or asylum seeker.

Compensation for this position ranges from $106,000 to $184,000 per year, depending on geographic market. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
