Videographer & DP Responsibilities
Videographer responsibilities include capturing high-quality video footage, editing content, and managing all aspects of video production from pre-production planning to post-production finalization. Key duties involve operating cameras and equipment, setting up lighting and audio, and using editing software to assemble and enhance the final product, which can include adding graphics, music, and effects.
The Director of Photography (DP) and camera team will configure lighting, audio, and camera setups based on the approved shot list and storyboard.
Most filming will take place alongside the client’s in-house studio team at their Poway, CA production facility, with occasional location shoots throughout Southern California.
Subject matter typically includes executive interviews and leadership messaging for web, YouTube, internal communications, and podcast content.
Footage will be captured in 4K/6K using cinema-grade cameras, lenses, and lighting packages appropriate to the production environment.
On-set monitoring and playback should be available to review critical takes in real time and ensure alignment with the established creative direction.
Daily progress updates, selects, and stills may be shared for same-day review and feedback during multi-day shooting schedules.
The Producer will be responsible for footage logging, continuity oversight, and metadata accuracy to support an efficient post-production workflow.

Job Qualifications for Editors
Typically requires a two-year degree in a related discipline or trade school equivalent and twelve or more years of experience in a related field. Equivalent related work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
5+ years of hands‑on professional video editing experience, ideally in an agency, media, or fast‑paced in‑house environment, preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Film & Television Production, Digital Media or Multimedia Arts, Video Production, Communication Arts, Graphic Design or Visual Communications.
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition). Experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail, pacing, and tone.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with high-volume content production.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A strong portfolio/reel showcasing advanced storytelling, pacing, sound design, graphics, and finishing skills.
Experience with color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics integration.
Familiarity with camera formats, production workflows, and on‑set experience is a plus.
Proficient motion graphics or animations skills.
Additional Certifications & Specialized Training (Not strictly required, but highly valued).
Adobe Certified Professional (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
DaVinci Resolve (Color Grading) Certification.
Motion Graphics or VFX short courses (School of Motion, FXPHD, etc.).
Raw footage is securely ingested to our editing server and organized by scene, take, and camera angle.

Lead the editing and post-production of video projects, including promotional videos, branded content, product videos, social media assets, and long‑form content.
Interpret creative briefs, scripts, and storyboards into polished final products.
Collaborate with leadership, customers, producers, and motion graphics artists to ensure the vision is fully realized.
Maintain high editorial standards in pacing, storytelling, sound, and visual effects.
Provide creative input during pre-production and production phases.
Manage and organize video assets, project files, and media archives.
Color grade footage to maintain consistency and align with brand aesthetics.
Stay current with industry trends, editing techniques, and emerging technologies.

Client reviews are held via MS Teams, and notes are integrated into a revised cut until final approval.
Final deliverables are exported in broadcast or web‑ready formats (e.g., ProRes, H.264, or HEVC) and securely delivered via GA’s preferred file‑sharing system or encrypted transfer.
Our editors begin ingesting and cutting footage the same day it’s shot, significantly reducing turnaround time.
We maintain constant client visibility through rough‑cut reviews and daily updates—ensuring accuracy, minimizing delays, and preserving creative flexibility.
