Base Pay Range

$250,000.00/yr – $450,000.00/yr

Job Summary

Lead the Global Marketing organization for the $18bn+ revenue Payments business at JPMorgan Chase, with teams spanning product marketing, strategy & planning, integrated marketing, partnerships, martech, analytics, marketing operations, and sales enablement.

We are seeking a strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for our Payments organization. This critical leadership position will shape the future of marketing across Treasury Services, Trade & Working Capital, Merchant Services, Embedded Finance & Solutions, and Kinexys.

As the CMO, Payments you will drive the growth of the Payments organization, overseeing a sizeable team and marketing budget to develop and implement global marketing strategies that boost business revenue, enhance client engagement, and foster loyalty. You will be expected to influence outcomes across a highly matrixed global organization, nurture talent, and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a commercial marketing leader with a P&L oriented mindset, partnering closely with and representing Marketing as a key member of the global Payments Operating Committee.
  • Spearhead a marketing function focused on growing the Payments business and driving innovation in a digitally and data‑oriented way.
  • Propel growth through targeted acquisition, engagement, and deepening marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives that increase revenue, profit, and market share.
  • Elevate the JPMorgan Payments brand on a global scale, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all markets.
  • Strategically manage owned channels and paid media investments to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment.
  • Leverage market research and client insights to identify opportunities and challenges, providing actionable insights to inform strategy.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into marketing strategies.
  • Optimize marketing and resource investments to ensure key capabilities remain unmatched, efficient, and well‑positioned to adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Drive positive outcomes alongside global Product leaders and Digital & Design teams, challenging and pushing new ideas while working seamlessly with all Product and D&D leaders.
  • Work closely with the global Sales teams for the Payments organization, playing a pivotal role in sales enablement and commercialization activities.
  • Collaborate with broader marketing, technology, and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts across the organization.
  • Lead a globally diverse team of marketing professionals, develop, lead, manage, and inspire the team to ensure a “best in class” marketing team.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong track record in driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives through strategic marketing initiatives, including acquisition, engagement, and sales enablement.
  • Proven marketing innovator with tangible examples of impactful initiatives.
  • Prior experience within a global organization, especially in financial services or technology, with a focus on marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across complex, global, matrix organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with deep understanding of business and market dynamics.
  • Executive‑level experience leading global teams and transformative initiatives, preferably in a data‑driven marketing domain.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, capable of attracting, inspiring, and developing diverse talent across regions.
  • Expertise in data analytics, with past experience leading data‑focused teams and making informed data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying key messages across organizational levels.
