Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Owner to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate objectives.
- Design, build, test, and send email campaigns using SFMC’s Email Studio, Content Builder, and Journey Builder.
- Configure nurture program functionality and extend capabilities as requested.
- Segment and analyze Salesforce and other prospect databases to target campaigns and provide recommendations.
- Implement tracking on all marketing‑automation tactics and produce reports highlighting opportunities for improvement.
- Perform QA testing of emails, campaigns, landing pages, and data to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Assist with SFMC data hygiene, system maintenance, list imports, and troubleshooting requests.
- Provide guidance on customer journey design and communication best practices.
- Build and maintain automated campaigns that nurture prospects through email, landing page, list segmentation, and scoring.
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate campaign effectiveness and translate metrics into actionable insights.
- Support Salesforce and Marketing Cloud data integrations, including Mulesoft with LMS – D2L and SIS – PeopleSoftCampus, and AWS – RedShift.
- Document solution and architecture decisions; assist in monthly feature releases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while meeting tight timelines and budgets.
- Creativity and out‑of‑the‑box thinking for email‑channel solutions.
- Strong understanding of email‑campaign management methodologies, coding, importing data, validating, optimizing, segmentation, testing, deployment, tracking, reporting, and monitoring.
- Extensive experience creating responsive multi‑channel campaigns in Journey Builder.
- Deep knowledge of email marketing best practices, inbox‑deliverability, and CAN‑SPAM laws.
- Understanding of CRM concepts and email‑communication best practices.
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries / API concepts is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently on routine assignments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams with a solution‑focused, positive mindset.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years (preferably 5) of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget with a track record of exceeding performance goals.
- Experience creating automated or drip marketing campaigns and managing end‑user requirements and documentation.
- Proficiency with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Data Extension, Automation Studio, Trigger Sends, Content Builder, and Contact Builder.
- Experience developing email templates and dynamic content using HTML and AMPscript.
- Experience building responsive emails and testing rendering across devices (Litmus, Return Path).
- Experience creating user‑initiated and triggered automations such as Data Extract, Filter, Import/Transfer, Refresh Group, Query, Wait, and Send Email in Automation Studio.
- Experience with Data Extensions and SQL queries is a plus.
- Experience optimizing campaigns through A/B and multivariate testing.
- Front‑end development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS.
- Extensive experience on Landing Pages and Microsites.
- Experience with email reporting, tracking, and benchmarking using analytics tools (Google Analytics required).
- Preferred certifications: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant OR Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist.
