Autumn Communications is a full-service public relations and marketing agency with offices in New York City and Los Angeles. We build compelling, culturally relevant campaigns that amplify brand awareness, engage audiences, and drive real results. Our expertise spans fashion, lifestyle, beauty, food & beverage, entertainment, and technology—with deep roots in influencer marketing and media relations. Our multi-platform, integrated approach has helped launch emerging brands and evolve established ones across earned, owned, and social channels.

The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join our growing social team. This mid-level role plays a key part in shaping and executing social strategy for a mix of lifestyle, beauty, wellness, and tech clients.

You’ll support day-to-day social execution, including content ideation + creation, scheduling + publishing, community management, social listening, and analytics reporting. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Social Media, internal account teams, and clients to deliver best-in-class social programs rooted in strategy, creativity, and cultural awareness.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, brings strong creative instincts, and can confidently manage multiple clients and workstreams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and help shape social media strategies, content frameworks, and platform-specific recommendations
  • Manage social calendars, briefing documents, and content plans across platforms
  • Support the creation of social capabilities decks, performance reports, and campaign recaps

Content Creation & Publishing

  • Ideate and produce social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn (Reels, TikToks, Stories, static posts, carousels, text-led content, etc.)
  • Write, edit, and refine channel-specific copy that aligns with brand voice and campaign objectives
  • Manage end-to-end publishing workflows using tools like Sprout, Later, or native platforms
  • Partner closely with internal Talent & Creator teams to implement influencer and UGC campaigns

Community Management & Social Listening

  • Oversee daily community management across platforms, responding to comments, messages, and audience interactions
  • Conduct ongoing social listening to identify trends, conversation drivers, and emerging opportunities
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content, creators, and campaigns

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and interpret platform analytics to measure performance and inform future strategy
  • Present weekly or monthly insights to internal teams and clients

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal account leads, PR teams, creators, and external partners to ensure cohesive social storytelling
  • Participate in client meetings by preparing agendas, capturing detailed notes, and drafting clear follow-up recaps with next steps

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with brand or agency social media accounts
  • Strong understanding of platform best practices (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X), content formats, and emerging trends
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Experience managing social calendars, content pipelines, and publishing workflows
  • Working knowledge of analytics and listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Later, Meltwater, CreatorIQ)
  • Experience with photo/video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Ability to present ideas, reports, and data clearly to both internal teams
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills and the ability to juggle multiple accounts
  • Proactive, collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agency‑style environment

Bonus Skills

  • Experience briefing, managing, or collaborating with influencers and creators
  • Familiarity with UGC production and community‑led content programs
  • Knowledge of TikTok Shop, creator marketplaces, and affiliate program workflows
  • Understanding of paid social amplification or boosting workflows
