We’re looking for a
Senior Satellite Thermal Design Automation Engineer
to join our team and lead the development of cutting‑edge tools for satellite thermal design and analysis. This is a full‑time, in‑office role for a professional who blends deep expertise in satellite thermal systems with strong software automation skills.
Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
What You’ll Do:
Architect and develop automation frameworks for satellite thermal design, analysis, and control systems.
Optimize thermal control systems for temperature margins, power, and mass.
Build integrated workflows connecting digital models to hardware testing and on‑orbit performance.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation.
Support the integration of thermal tools with CAD, CAE, and PLM platforms.
Who You Are:
Thermal engineer by training and software developer at heart.
Experienced in heat transfer, thermal hardware integration, and satellite thermal architecture.
Passionate about automation, optimization, and making manual processes faster, smarter, and more robust.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar).
5+ years of experience in satellite thermal design and analysis.
Proficiency in Python for engineering automation.
Experience with CAD (Siemens NX, CATIA) and thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, Ansys Icepak, NX Space Systems Thermal).
Player/coach mindset: mentoring junior engineers and driving process innovation.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with DevSecOps/CI-CD for software development.
Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
10+ years in core engineering roles in aerospace or related fields.
