The Opportunity The Content Manager will coordinate projects, responsibilities and initiatives that support RIFC and events at Centreville Bank Stadium.
As Content Manager, you will be responsible for leading fan engagement, growing social presence, and driving ticket and event sales for Rhode Island FC and Centreville Bank Stadium. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications, this role is essential in shaping the RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium brand, deepening fan relationships, and developing comprehensive marketing strategies that bring gameday and event experiences to life across digital, experiential, and local community platforms. This position is ideal for a results‑driven candidate who thrives at the intersection of sports, marketing, and sales, combining creativity and analytics to sellout events, build loyalty, and amplify RIFC’s footprint within the local and regional sports landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Concept, capture, and produce original content that connects fans to the club and stadium, including community, ticketing and partnership storytelling.
Lead strategy, shooting, and editing of photo, video and graphic design content, driving the club and stadium brand presence across all platforms.
Lead daily, weekly, monthly and yearly content planning, publishing, community engagement, and real‑time storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Generate and execute innovative ideas for social content that maximizes fan engagement, drives ticket sales, and furthers the reach of the Rhode Island FC and Centreville Bank Stadium brands.
Coordinate and execute photo and video shoots, including media day, kit launches, merchandise drops, community collaborations, and fan testimonials.
Collaborate across departments including merchandise, partnerships, operations and ticketing to create engaging, sales‑focused content.
Assign and coordinate content coverage of Rhode Island FC and Centreville Bank Stadium events, covering pre‑event promotion, in real‑time, and post‑event.
Track analytics and apply insights to optimize current and future social media content.
Produce social content that is optimized to fit each channel and audience.
Quickly recognize and react to real‑time trends and current events.
Regulate and manage SMS communication through the club’s texting platform - RIFC Pulse, and the content and notifications of the official Rhode Island FC app.
Stay informed on social media trends, including developments in video and design, platforms, best practices, strategies, and innovations to stay relevant and effective.
Manage gameday social media operations including posting photos, graphics and highlights in real time.
Ideate with content team on branded graphics, design templates, motion animations, and digital assets.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3-5 years of experience in social media and content marketing, preferably in a professional league, club, or collegiate athletics program.
Proven experience driving growth, engagement, and ticket sales through social media campaigns.
Proficiency in marketing analytics and data interpretation to guide strategy.
