Solutions Architect - Media/Broadcast Enterprise Systems
Reporting to the Director of File Based Solutions, you work between Evertz clients, account managers, R&D engineers, project managers, and executive management to fully architect, design and document the requirements and implementation approach for end‑to‑end enterprise solutions for broadcast and media facilities. The successful candidate must capture our client’s vision, business and technical requirements and map those into Evertz hardware, software and professional services offerings. You will be comfortable in both client‑facing and internal R&D/delivery roles.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the account manager to define and document the scope.
Provide initial solutions to clients with equipment selection and systems design, refine throughout the design process and deliver final quotation and supporting documentation.
Work with internal resources and the client to deliver demonstrations and documentation as proof of concept system, as required.
Collaborate with internal, client and third‑party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements.
Take lead on proposal creation and refinement, producing accurate documentation for the bid set.
Identify and manage project risks, clearly state assumptions, and work with client and internal resources to mitigate risks prior to deployment.
Produce a clear design package, gap analysis, functional specifications, and budget.
Identify new customers and build relationships while maintaining the existing customer base.
Act as the technical authority throughout design, pre‑commissioning, onsite commissioning, training and sustaining engineering phases.
Travel as required to client sites.
Qualifications
Experience designing, documenting and sustaining full‑life‑cycle end‑to‑end enterprise‑wide client‑facing projects.
Experience with file‑based broadcast, production, post‑production, non‑linear distribution, automated transcoding and quality control, business/traffic systems type deployments and workflows.
Electronics engineering (or similar) education.
Problem‑solving and strong communication skills.
Results‑oriented, self‑motivated and team player.
Familiarity with BXF and industry‑standard traffic solutions.
3+ years experience deploying file‑based workflow solutions.
Experience with broadcast IT and network infrastructure.
Understanding of application integration with business systems via XML interchange format.
Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
