Compensation Range: $70,000 – $85,000

Summary

Maximize revenue through managing stations’ logs, applying commercial instructions to client contracts, and maintenance of copy library.

Perform office or non‑manual work directly related to management policies or general business operations for the employer with discretion and independent judgment.

Perform job under general supervision and work along specialized or technical lines requiring special training, experience, or knowledge.

Essential Functions

ORGANIZATION AND QUALITY CONTROL: Manage all stations’ logs to maximize revenue & ensure adequate separation of commercials. Reconcile logs daily & pull reports from outside systems, format logs to accommodate programming changes, oversee last‑minute orders, copy changes, day‑of‑air changes, assign & apply cart numbers, approve/reject orders, check accuracy, and assure traffic arrives on time. Maintain copy library and filing system, perform weekly/monthly purge of copy library.

COLLABORATION: Work directly with Local Production to assure proper flow of programming & produced spots. Pull missing copy reports daily & provide to account executives or contract owners. Assist with triggering Early Morning Traffic & Weather updates when necessary. Work proactively with management to achieve highest revenue levels.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Direct contact with agencies & large advertisers that provide traffic instructions & copy to station and write up POs for scheduling of commercials/messages. Check with agencies, large advertisers and local sales people to ensure availability of commercials and resolve “copy not received” issues daily.

LEADERSHIP: Take responsibility for successful traffic department through smooth operation of traffic processes & procedures, timely completion of logs, allowing for changes when associated with revenue generation, accuracy in working copy desk and continued support of other departments and development of more efficient systems. Complete all duties associated with managing logs & copy duties including meeting log deadlines, interacting with internal employees and external clients, producing timely copy due reports, troubleshooting problems, and improving departmental efficiency.

Required Education and Experience

2+ years of traffic experience.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work efficiently against deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with teams and maintain professional demeanor.

Technical skills: familiarity with traffic systems (desired); proficiency with a Windows PC and Microsoft Office.

Strong math and problem‑solving skills.

English and Spanish bilingual preferred.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Full Time. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Supervisory Responsibility Reports directly to VP—Stations, Traffic Operations.
