Good Shepherd in Blair, NE is seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Admissions & Marketing Director to join our leadership team! We are a mission‑driven skilled nursing facility and CCRC committed to providing exceptional care and outstanding customer service to our residents, families, and community partners.
Position Summary The Admissions & Marketing Director is responsible for managing the full admissions process, building strong relationships with referral partners, and representing Good Shepherd throughout the community. This role requires both clinical and operational understanding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance fast‑paced admissions responsibilities with strategic marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Screen and assess clinical appropriateness of referrals from hospitals and community partners
Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage details
Obtain pre‑authorizations from managed care plans and coordinate with payors
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth admission transitions
Communicate professionally with hospitals, case managers, physicians, residents, and families
Conduct on‑site and off‑site marketing, hospital outreach, and community engagement
Track referral trends, maintain CRM records, and support census development strategies
Provide facility tours and serve as a welcoming, knowledgeable resource for prospective residents and families
Participate in daily/weekly meetings focused on census, quality mix, and referral management
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in Admissions, Marketing, or Liaison roles within a Skilled Nursing Facility or CCRC
LPN or RN licensure preferred (not required), but strong clinical assessment abilities are essential
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance authorization processes
Strong understanding of skilled nursing levels of care, PDPM, and clinical pathways
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Positive, professional attitude with a passion for serving seniors and enhancing the resident/family experience
