Analyst, R&D Technical Writing
Packaging R&D – Responsible for creating end-user regulatory complaint product labeling that supports business requirements. Contribute to new product development and design change activities, engaging cross‑functional teams, meeting labeling objectives, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Base pay range $41.00/hr - $43.00/hr
General Requirements
2–4 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in graphics or language or equivalent experience (an advanced degree may substitute for years of experience)
High level of service and responsibility in managing a varied workload from internal customers, working under tight timelines
Provide weekly summary of activities, create project plans, prioritize, and effectively communicate updates to customers
Follow Good Document practices (GDP) for all documentation created or reviewed and stay current on required training
Qualifications / Work Experience Required
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience with database‑driven labeling systems such as Prisym ID, Label View, Loftware, Bartender, Nice Label, Easy Label
Support IFU development and release in PLM for new product development and design changes, ensuring congruency with product labeling and strong attention to detail
Manage tasks related to IFU/Literature printing suppliers and translation suppliers
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, test methods and documents in the clearest, most logical way for reader comprehension
Drive continuous improvement (NCs and CAPAs) and assess current procedures, generate quality plans, and identify best practices
Prepare for internal and external audits by gathering records, supporting backroom, and providing explanations for design areas developed by self with auditors in the front room
Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects, maintaining compliance and supporting improvements that ease compliance in complex areas
Deliver high‑quality deliverables (SOPs, technical literature, work instructions, engineering work product) that maintain continuity of content style meeting applicable standards and intended audience
Pay strong attention to detail, review and audit other technical publication deliverables, ensuring consistently quality documentation with no escapes
As regulations change and quality systems merge or align, create/refine department and quality system SOPs, work instructions, forms, and templates with considerable graphical content and minimal supervision
Provide input to creation of training and communication materials that can be used by self or other staff to convey new or updated processes
Modify existing and create new Quality System documentation (work instructions, SOPs, forms, checklists, templates)
Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives to resolve complex technical issues and document within appropriate quality system documentation
