Role Description We are seeking a creative, strategic, and organized Communications and Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive media strategy and content across web, social, and print platforms that advance Redeemer Counseling Services’ brand and vision to internal and external audiences. Additionally, this position provides 10 hours per week of administrative team support, including team management assistance, front desk coverage, and administrative projects.
Key Responsibilities Communications and Marketing (75% – 30 hours/week) Brand Management & Strategy
Maintain and update RCS’s branding guidelines to ensure consistent and unified brand voice across all platforms
Draft and maintain external brand materials, including website and marketing collateral
Manage skilled contractors and agencies as necessary for design and production work
Ensure all messaging aligns with organizational vision, mission, goals, and the RCS GIFT Approach to counseling
Content Creation & Writing
Create, write, and edit high‑quality, informative, and engaging media content for RCS’s multiple channels
Develop marketing copy for programs, services, events, and fundraising campaigns
Write articles and web content that educate and engage target audiences
Produce weekly staff newsletter, monthly clinical newsletter, and quarterly donor newsletters
Coordinate with authors and subject matter experts for content production
Write scripts and create content for video and audio recordings for internal communications, training workshops, curriculum, and fundraising events
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Develop and manage content strategy for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Create, schedule, and post engaging social media content that builds community and advances mission
Design graphics and visual content for digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Manage website updates and content using WordPress/Craft CMS
Monitor and analyze digital communications engagement, reach, and analytics
Implement SEO best practices to increase online visibility
Program & Event Marketing
Create, manage, edit, and schedule comprehensive marketing campaigns for all programming including:
Client‑based programming (group counseling, workshops)
Training events and continuing education
Fundraising events and campaigns
Design promotional materials (flyers, posters, email campaigns, social graphics)
Coordinate marketing timelines and deliverables with program leads
Collaborate with staff to collect, edit, and publicize client and training participant testimonies
Highlight stories of transformation that demonstrate RCS’s impact
Create compelling narratives for fundraising and awareness campaigns
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Develop and execute an annual communications and marketing plan
Brainstorm and collaborate with counselors, Equipping team, and Fundraising team for
Assist with post‑production of videos and audio recordings
Stay current on communications and marketing trends, particularly in nonprofit and mental health sectors
Administrative Team Support (25% – 10 hours/week) Team Management & Support
Assist Senior Manager of Operations & HR with administrative team management and coordination
Support team meeting planning, documentation, and follow‑up
Contribute to team culture‑building and staff engagement initiatives
Support special projects for the administrative team (events, office initiatives, systems improvements)
Assist with data entry, file management, and organizational documentation
Provide periodic front desk coverage as needed
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
3+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent copywriting and content creation skills across multiple formats (web, social, print, video)
Strong marketing strategy and campaign management experience
Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
Excellent time management skills, including ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong initiative and ability to develop new strategies and creative ideas
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Dropbox
Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Graphic design skills and proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
Knowledge of and interest in mental health and counseling
Belief in RCS vision and mission
Strong theological alignment with Redeemer Presbyterian Church
Strong alignment with Redeemer Counseling’s mission, vision, values, tone, and brand
Active participating member of a gospel‑centered church
Preferred
Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field
Experience with Craft CMS specifically
Video production, videography, and/or photography skills
Experience in nonprofit communications or ministry settings
Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
Experience with design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights)
Experience managing contractors or agencies
Administrative or operations support experience
Creative Storytelling – Ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire and engage
Strategic Thinking – Can develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans aligned with organizational goals
