STV, a leading transportation and infrastructure company, has an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Designer to join our team in the heart of New York, NY.

Key responsibilities will include working with, and coordinating, an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for a variety of projects.

  • The ideal candidate will perform the Architectural design work from initial design phase through construction completion, interface and collaboration with various disciplines, clients, and consultants.
  • Prepares Architectural plans, and/or supervises their execution. Performs analysis of design and construction systems, planning studies, design layouts, and construction details.
  • Oversees Conduct research and material studies used in writing specifications, including coordinating with manufacturers.
Required Experience:
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a project architect working within the rail/transit sector.
  • Registered Licensed Architect in the State of New York is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite are required.
  • Experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3-D Max, Sketch-up is a plus and LEED Accreditation is also a plus.
  • Excellent design, technical detailing, and strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual, are essential.
  • Experience with building code analysis and construction administration is preferred.
  • The candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving, an understanding that project success comes through teamwork, and a firm focus on client needs.

Compensation Range:
$91,314.21 - $121,752.28
