What We Need

Total Traffic & Weather Network Miami (TTWN) seeks a dynamic Bilingual Traffic Reporter to deliver clear, conversational, and engaging traffic updates in English and Spanish for our major South Florida radio brands.

This high‑visibility, part‑time opportunity is scheduled for mornings Monday‑Friday with occasional afternoons, evenings, holidays, and split shifts.

Job Details

• Knowledge of Florida’s major roadways and the ability to connect with listeners across Miami, Miami‑Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach is a strong plus.
• Previous radio or audio‑content experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic social‑media skills and audio‑editing skills are essential.
• Will require split shifts (four hours in AM Drive, four hours in PM Drive) and weekend work.

What You’ll Do

• Provide timely traffic information for commuters.
• Announce accidents and traffic delays.
• Read traffic reports, commercials, and public service announcements.
• Research and create traffic copy; finalize content using digital audio editing software.
• Manage gathered information, ensuring accuracy and staying current.
• Cover multiple stations from designated hubs.
• Maintain deadlines for timely traffic updates.
• Report live from helicopters or drones when required.
• Prepare written content, images, audio, and video for websites, blogs, and social‑media platforms.
• Adapt to early mornings, afternoons, evenings, holidays, and split shifts.

What You’ll Need

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, social networking platforms, and audio production software.
• Knowledgeable of local coverage area geography, roadways, mass transit, and traffic patterns.
• Pleasant, charismatic voice with excellent pronunciation.
• Adept at working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented, newsroom‑like environment.
• Excellent writing and editing skills; proficiency in grammar.
• Strong attention to detail and follow‑up until issues are resolved.
• Understanding of police scanners is a plus.
• Previous on‑air radio, TV, or similar audio experience preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multitask.
• Willingness to work split shifts and weekends.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Comfortable speaking in Spanish.
