About the role
As a
QA Engineering Lead - UI/API with Playwright/Cypress , you will make an impact by driving end-to-end quality assurance and automation for critical banking domain projects. You will be a valued member of the
Quality Engineering & Assurance team , collaborating closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and offshore/onsite teams to ensure seamless delivery.
In this role, you will:
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
Coordinate with clients, business teams, and product owners to clarify requirements.
Lead onsite and offshore teams, ensuring smooth communication and delivery.
Develop test plans, prepare test data, and write test cases for user stories.
Script and execute automation code for candidate test cases using modern frameworks.
Work on in-sprint and regression automation, ensuring continuous quality.
Utilize CI/CD tools to integrate automated tests into pipelines.

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance.
6+ years of hands‑on experience in UI and API automation using Playwright/Cypress, Mocha, Chai, JavaScript, TypeScript, Cucumber, and allure reports.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools and test management tools like JIRA, Quality Center/ALM.
Proven experience in Banking domain projects and Agile methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to lead and coordinate onsite/offshore resources and manage client communications.
These will help you stand out
Expertise in advanced automation strategies and frameworks.
Experience in scaling automation in large enterprise environments.
Familiarity with performance testing and security testing practices.
Thought leadership in quality engineering best practices.
