Audio Electronics Engineer
A global leader in audio technologies seeks an experienced Electrical / Electronics Engineer to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. The role focuses on design validation, testing, and production support for audio systems ranging from Bluetooth speakers to high‑power Class D amplifiers.

Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 (DOE)
Primary Function The Audio Electronics Engineer works closely with the Seattle‑based EE lead, local project management and mechanical engineering teams, and international partners in China, Vietnam, and other global sites. This hands‑on, lab‑focused role emphasizes hardware validation, testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration on embedded system design for consumer audio products.
Essential Job Functions – Responsibilities
Conduct electrical validation testing on subwoofer amplifiers, Bluetooth speakers, and related systems using Audio Precision test equipment.
Perform analog, digital, and power circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
Evaluate and integrate new DSPs, microcontrollers, ADCs/DACs, and other ICs for prototype development.
Develop and test embedded C/C++ firmware for ARM‑based systems (non‑RTOS).
Support factory engineers in China and Vietnam through design reviews, prototyping, and technical issue resolution.
Review safety, EMC, and reliability documentation to ensure compliance with international standards.
Collaborate with mobile app and wireless IC development teams to optimize system performance.
Create technical test reports, evaluation summaries, and recommendations for design improvement.
Support customer engineering and marketing teams throughout product life‑cycle stages.
Identify and qualify component substitutions for obsolete or long‑lead parts.
Maintain familiarity with UL, CE, FCC, and other certification requirements.
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security incidents.
Education and Experience
BSEE or EET degree required.
5–7 years of experience in Bluetooth, analog/digital, power, or audio electronics design.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
Hands‑on experience with breadboarding, soldering, and troubleshooting complex electronics.
Experience using SPICE simulation tools (LTSpice, Microcap, etc.).
Strong understanding of Class D amplification (20–1,000 W range).
Ability to work with overseas factory teams and communicate effectively across cultures (no language fluency required).
Experience with safety and EMC certification processes.
Audio Precision test system experience (Preferred).
Work Environment Standard office environment with normal office‑related conditions. Occasionally required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasional travel may be required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
