Unit 9 - CSUEU - Technical Support Services, Probationary, Full Time, Library, On-site (work in-person at business location) Accounting:

Perform bookkeeping for the collection budget, including posting invoices, credit memos, and refund checks in Ex Libris Alma. Review and correct invoices, credit memos, and refunds for accuracy, vendor address changes, pricing, and tax amounts. Verify accounting feeds and reconciliations before sending to Accounting. Manage checks, reconcile against register, and update payment info in Alma. Supervise student reimbursements with Access Services. Coordinate fiscal year rollover and ensure consistency between Alma and campus financial systems such as Tableau. Create and update vendor accounts in Alma after campus approval. File and organize all accounting documentation. Collaborate with the Library Budget Analyst to meet campus fiscal deadlines, update fund amounts, and handle transfers within Alma. Assist the CARDS Unit and Budget Analyst with credit card reconciliations, endowment monitoring, GAAP copies, and contract procedures. Provide accounting information and maintain spreadsheets/reports (e.g., Alma Analytics). Oversee inventory management and purchase of unit supplies biannually. Keep up-to-date on accounting trends and best practices through professional development.

Technical Services:

Assist CARDS subunit tasks (physical receiving, repair, processing, inventory, acquisitions). Coordinate work of student assistants and participate in hiring/training/evaluations. Engage in unit, department, and library-wide activities as needed. Stay current with technical services trends and professional development.

Cataloging and Book Processing:

Perform copy cataloging and consult unit coordinator on issues. Attend staff meetings, workshops, and committee work. Lead Book Processing tasks: repair, label creation, printing, and securing materials. Assist with policy revision and implementation. Hire and train student assistants (write descriptions, advertise, interview).

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent certification. OR 4–5 years of related library and/or clerical experience or equivalent education/experience combination. OR Entry-level knowledge of library organizational structure, terminology, library systems, and policies; proficiency in Microsoft Office and written communication; basic arithmetic; ability to work independently and within a diverse, service-oriented environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree equivalent. 2–3 years of accounting, budgeting, or allocation experience in a professional setting, preferably with library experience. Experience with physical material processing/repair, copy cataloging. Familiarity with Alma (and other integrated library systems) and Alma Analytics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Equal Employment Opportunity
