Base Pay Range $100.00/hr - $130.00/hr About the Role VML, a WPP Company, is seeking a Freelance Associate Creative Director Art with experience in HCP focused campaigns to help with a major launch for a new product. The ideal candidate must be available immediately and will assist with leading the day-to-day creative art development for a Fortune 500 Pharma/Health focused client across North America. This engagement will be open to experienced Art Leaders (ACD Art) who can commit to a W2 hourly freelance engagement and will be a unique opportunity to work with an established industry leader and help shape the product launch across the HCP space for their brand. The candidate must be able to work EST hours and being based in the NYC metro area would be a plus. Responsibilities include building, designing, assessing all concepts and creative development as well as working with strategy and delivery leadership for brand/product launches and related creative assignments. The role is responsible for creating brilliant creative work and adherence to, and the evolution of, the client’s Brand & Creative omni‑channel strategy. Responsibilities Manage creative leadership and provide vision and inspiration to creative staff. Own assigned projects, manage all aspects of assignments, team, creative work, budget, and presentations. Work with Executive Creative Directors to manage the creative team ensuring quality and accuracy on all creative products. Make recommendations to senior leadership and other team members on how to improve process and product. Supervise, mentor, and train junior level teams, including senior art directors, art directors, senior copywriters, copywriters, designers, and creative interns. Create and demonstrate creativity through efficiently conceptualizing, planning, producing, refining, and leading a diverse range of creative ideas and concepts. Work in an Art Director capacity and perform duties of the position when in this role. Present creative rationale during internal and client presentations. Drive the creative solution for new business pitches. Offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression. Collaborate by communicating with client service account directors regarding business scopes, financials, schedules, and planning. Collaborate with creative leaders in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating junior creative staff. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree plus seven or more years of art direction experience in an advertising, marketing or experiential, creative agency environment. Experience with brand and conceptual work is essential. Experience with pharma art work with HCP expertise is essential. Advanced competencies in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite as well as multi‑channel environments and advertising industry‑standard software programs. Understanding of both the art and copy side and the ability to evaluate both. Experience in and ability to evaluate all mediums to develop fully integrated marketing campaigns. Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates strategic, conceptual and creative thinking. Excellent presentation skills. Pay Range and Compensation Package W2 Freelance on VML Payroll: $100-$130 per hour (40 hours a week).
