Role Description
As a Design Manager you will oversee a team of designers, ensure project timelines and budgets are met, and maintain the quality of design deliverables. Key responsibilities include managing project workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing creative design solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements, mentoring junior designers, and contributing to the overall strategic design direction of the firm.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Design Management, Project Planning, and Team Leadership
Strong skills in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, and Civil Engineering within the context of capital improvement and infrastructure projects
Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software
Exceptional Communication, Problem-Solving, and Client Relationship Management skills
Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field
Professional licensure or certifications in a relevant field (preferred)
Previous experience in a similar leadership role within the design or engineering industry
