Motion Designer, Google Home Join to apply for the Motion Designer, Google Home role at Google. Overview Google’s Motion Designers collaborate with cross‑functional partners to create desirable and relevant product experiences that consistently elevate the Google brand. They help people make sense of their world by choreographing experiences that feel fluid, natural, and informative. As a Motion Designer on the Google Home UX Studio team, you will create the motion language for the entire Google Home ecosystem, including apps, smart hubs, and Nest devices, and contribute to the evolution of the Google Home motion design system to ensure a cohesive user experience. Responsibilities Define and implement the look and feel of Google products through motion design. Provide patterns, best practices and guidance on animation and transitions for different devices (such as TV, tablets, wearables, mobile, etc.) and platforms (web, Android, iOS, etc.). Create high quality design proposals and drive projects from concept to implementation. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of motion design experience in product design, UX design, or UX/UI animation. Experience related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions). Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross‑functional organization. 1 year of experience leading design projects. Compensation US base salary range for this full‑time position is $129,000‑$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
