Position Summary
The Multimedia and Web Designer will play a key role in shaping how the Sisters of St. Joseph communicate their mission visually. This position will design and produce compelling digital and print content that engages audiences, supports fundraising campaigns, and amplifies our impact. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the many teams and ministries to create multimedia assets that tell powerful stories, strengthen our brand, and increase awareness of our initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia production, visual communication, website technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of graphic design and web maintenance experience (nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign).
Knowledge of CMS software (Wordpress or Blackbaud preferred).
Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, color, and layout.
Experience producing short‑form video and social media content.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
Experience with email marketing and related platforms (Constant Contact preferred).
Duties & Responsibilities
Web maintenance: Maintain the look and usability of the Sisters of St. Joseph website, as well as all related sites (LIIC, Legacy Fund, The Learning Connection).
Graphic design: Develop creative assets for web, social media, email, print, and event materials.
Brand consistency: Ensure all materials align with the organization's visual identity and messaging guidelines.
Social media: Maintain the Sisters of St. Joseph social accounts (IG, FB, and YT).
Storytelling collaboration: Work with staff and partners to translate complex ideas into accessible, emotionally engaging visuals.
Accessibility & inclusivity: Design materials that are inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.
Preferred
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Experience designing magazines.
Passion for education, justice, sustainability, and spirituality.
Compensation for this position is based on market rate and experience level.
