Recruiting Manager at AllSTEM Connections Location: Houston, TX We are seeking a talented Civil Designer with approximately five years of experience delivering commercial and education site development projects . This is a full‑time, direct hire opportunity based in Houston, TX, offering long‑term stability, diverse project work, and the chance to contribute to high‑impact development across the region. About the Role As a Civil Designer, you will help produce complete, high‑quality civil plan sets while supporting multiple projects in various stages of design and permitting. You’ll work closely with project engineers and managers, maintain detailed Civil 3D models, and ensure all drawings meet jurisdictional and client standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare full civil site plan sets including: Site layout, grading, drainage, paving/striping/signage Water, sewer, and storm utility design Erosion & sediment control and construction details Build and manage AutoCAD Civil 3D models (surfaces, feature lines, corridors, pipe networks) Perform earthwork quantities and basic takeoffs Support drainage design: inlet/sag checks, pipe sizing, and simple detention layouts Interpret survey/base maps, plats, deeds, and geotechnical data Incorporate redlines, meet CAD standards, and follow jurisdictional requirements Prepare permit and construction submittals and respond to review comments Coordinate with architects, MEP, survey, and landscape teams Provide occasional field/as‑built support and respond to RFIs during construction Qualifications ~5 years of civil/site design experience on commercial and/or education projects (retail centers, banks, K‑12 or higher‑ed campuses, etc.) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (surfaces, grading tools/feature lines, corridors, pipe networks, sheets/Xrefs) Working knowledge of drainage/utility design, plan set organization, and permitting processes Ability to interpret municipal standards, ADA requirements, and typical site codes Strong communication and time‑management skills with experience supporting multiple concurrent projects A.S./B.S. in Civil Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, or equivalent experience Preferred Skills Experience with Civil 3D SSA, StormCAD/CivilStorm, or similar hydrology/hydraulics tools Familiarity with SWPPP/NPDES exhibits and submittals Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft 365, and common collaboration tools Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Staffing and Recruiting Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Salary range: $55,000 – $90,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
