Overview
Would you like to teach applied lessons at HCC? We are seeking individuals to be included in a pool of adjunct (part‑time) faculty for our NASM-accredited program. Teaching will involve major and non‑major courses, non‑credit Gen Ed courses, performance preparation, and functional piano instruction.
Responsibilities
Teach majors and non‑majors.
Teach students from non‑credit, Gen Ed pool.
Prepare majors for two public performances per semester.
Prepare majors for performance juries.
Teach functional piano.
Prepare lesson materials and maintain an up‑to‑date Canvas site per department template.
Provide timely feedback and grading of student work.
Attend required Division and Departmental kick‑off meetings.
Complete mandatory trainings.
Deliver high‑quality demonstrations and instruction.
Engage actively with students during the creative process.
Qualifications
Masters Degree or higher, OR Bachelors Degree with significant experience.
Prior teaching experience preferred.
