Summit School District is hiring: Summit High School Theater Technical Director

Under the direction of the Athletic and Activity Director, and in accordance with District policies, procedures and CHSAA regulations, thetechnical director shall be responsible for all phases of the 2026 Summit High School Spring production. Summit High School has enjoyed a long history of producing high quality, community friendly performances. We greatly value the student-experience and fully subscribe to educational based instruction. Responsibilities Oversees all technical elements of the high school’s theatre and musical productions, including set design/construction, lighting, sound, props, backstage operations, and technical safety. Coordinates student tech crews, supervises after-school build sessions, and ensures all technical aspects meet district safety standards. Collaborates closely with the Director and school administration. Qualifications and Duties Degree in Theater, Music or related field, preferred, minimum of high school diploma required Ability to collaborate with multiple constituents Excellent organizational skills Experience managing teams Skilled in budget management and revenue generation Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Has experience working with high school performers in a musical theater setting Brings a professional, supportive, and enthusiastic presence to the rehearsal room Provides a program that teaches and develops skills, leadership, integrity, positive attitudes, and sportsmanship Is a positive role model at all times as well as an excellent representative of Summit School District Additional duties as prescribed by the SHS Athletic/Activity Director The position will remain open until filled.
