IGN Entertainment is searching for a Senior Marketing Designer to play a pivotal role in evolving and elevating the visual identity of one of the world’s most influential entertainment brands. This is a crucial, future‑facing position that sits at the intersection of entertainment marketing, brand storytelling, and visual system design. The designer will be responsible for defining how IGN Entertainment shows up across campaigns, content, events, and B2B communications, ensuring a cohesive and compelling presence across film, TV, streaming, gaming, and pop culture partnerships. You will also be key in developing the brand and communication systems for IMAGINE, IGN Entertainment’s proprietary Audience AI platform. This requires translating complex, behavioral data and audience intelligence into clear, visually compelling narratives, research studies, infographics, and pitch materials for global entertainment partners and media agencies.
We are looking for more than just a designer. We need a storyteller, a thinker, and a creative technologist who is deeply passionate about how fans engage with their favourite worlds. The ideal candidate loves entertainment, is excited by turning audience data into high‑impact visuals, and understands how to bring campaigns to life through sophisticated design. You should be comfortable designing engaging motion and 3D‑inspired elements, and possess a strong conceptual understanding of user flow and digital clarity for web and CRM applications. This is an exciting opportunity to present new ideas, shape visual stories, and influence how IGN communicates its intelligence and value to the world.
This is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA and requires working from our office 3 days each week. There is an expectation to be comfortable working outside of a standard schedule from time to time for client needs and events. The role involves work with a computer requiring extended periods of sitting or standing, and regular use of hands and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand and Campaign Design (IGN Entertainment)
- Evolve and elevate IGN Entertainment’s brand identity across editorial, social, events, content, commerce, and corporate storytelling.
- Craft high‑impact sales collateral, pitch decks, media kits, and presentations that translate IGN’s audience intelligence into compelling narratives.
- Build scalable branded templates, toolkits, and design guidelines that empower teams across markets and platforms.
- Support major brand moments including IGN Live, our 30th Anniversary initiatives, global tentpoles, and annual sales stories.
- Partner closely with Sales, Production, Editorial, Research, and Experiential teams to concept, refine, and execute design solutions across both consumer and commercial initiatives.
- Intelligence & Visual Storytelling (IMAGINE)
- Oversee the visual identity for the IMAGINE platform and its sub‑brands, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a premium design standard.
- Design structured storytelling frameworks for audience reports, insights decks, partner presentations, and case studies.
- Create data visualisations that turn complex behavioural signals into clear insights for marketers and entertainment partners.
- Help establish the future of IMAGINE’s design language as it scales into new products, markets, and commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate with IMAGINE product, research, and data teams to translate audience intelligence into simple, compelling visual narratives.
- Creative Concepting & Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, sales, editorial, research, and product leaders to concept solutions for B2B brand campaigns, and storytelling initiatives.
- Translate briefs into creative directions that balance entertainment style, strategic clarity, and audience understanding.
- Collaborate with motion and video teams to produce animated versions of brand systems, logos, and insight visualisations.
- Brand Stewardship & Innovation
- Protect and evolve IGN Entertainment’s design standards across a multi‑brand ecosystem.
- Drive the adoption of consistent brand language and visual identity across all teams.
- Stay current on entertainment, design, AI, and cultural trends to ensure IGN remains an innovative, forward‑looking brand.
- Motion, 3D & Emerging Creative Workflows
- Produce motion graphics and 3D‑inspired creative to enhance research, campaign, and IMAGINE product storytelling.
- Incorporate AI‑enhanced creative tools to support conceptual development and accelerate design pipelines.
Job Qualifications
- The Must‑Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- 5+ years as a Brand, Visual, or Senior Designer in entertainment, media, tech, or a creative agency environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong brand systems, campaign design, and data‑driven storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and presentation tools (Keynote, Google Slides, PowerPoint).
- Experience designing for multi‑brand ecosystems and cross‑platform creative systems.
- Strong ability to simplify complex narratives into clear visual stories.
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Not Required, but Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience in entertainment or gaming culture.
- Familiarity with data visualisation, dashboards, or insight‑based design.
- Exposure to AI creative tools or emerging design workflows.
- Experience working closely with Sales, Marketing Strategy or Research teams.

Compensation Range
Base pay range: 90,000 – 110,000 dollars. Final compensation depends on experience, scope of role, capabilities, education and company performance.
