Join to apply for the Library Services Consultant - Middle East role at OCLC

We work hard to build the technology that connects thousands of today's libraries. But we also work hard to make a job at OCLC a meaningful part of a balanced life— not a substitute for one.

About the Role

The Library Services Consultant is responsible for driving business growth and strengthening OCLC’s presence across Arabic‑speaking and wider Middle Eastern countries. This role combines consultative selling with strategic account management, proposal development, and market engagement. The consultant will build long‑term partnerships with libraries, ensuring OCLC’s products and services meet evolving institutional needs, while consistently achieving sales targets.

  • Present, promote, and position OCLC’s solutions to generate demand and address institutional challenges.

Proposal & RFP Management

  • Lead the end‑to‑end management of the RFP process, including drafting, editing, and finalizing proposals.
  • Coordinate internal teams to align proposals with client specifications and organizational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, financial, and legal standards in all submissions.

Client & Market Development

  • Build and sustain strong, trust‑based relationships with libraries and academic institutions.

  • Provide market insights to support product development and competitive positioning.

Product Expertise & Positioning

  • Maintain deep knowledge of OCLC’s full product and service portfolio.
  • Effectively articulate value propositions against alternative providers.
  • Tailor presentations and communications to diverse audiences across the region.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with proven sales ability.
  • Familiarity with library automation, educational systems, and the regional academic landscape.
  • Highly motivated, target‑driven, and culturally adaptable.

Working Conditions

  • Fully remote role based in the Middle East.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (30–50%, when feasible).
