Senior Post Producer – Job Summary
The Senior Post Producer leads a project through post production, ensuring it meets the needs of creative vision and client expectations. They take ownership of managing project timelines, personnel, and conflicts, find solutions for changing scope, and understand the entire post production workflow and pipeline, including editorial, motion design, color grade, finishing, sound mix and visual effects.
Responsibilities
- Supervises project pipeline from ingest through to delivery, overseeing all elements created by the team.
- Monitors all aspects of quality control and ensures feedback is addressed in a timely manner.
- Manages in-person sessions with creative and clients with post studio artists.
- Regularly reviews and resolves conflict issues relating to budget expenditures and schedule status with a solution‑oriented approach.
- Works closely with the Agency Producer and Creative teams to supervise, route, track notes and deliver assigned projects.
- Provides regular updates on project timelines and budget to the Executive Producer.
- Enforces guidelines and parameters for post production artists throughout the life of each project.
- Acts as the day‑to‑day contact with internal Account team.
- Reports any client requests, outside of scope of work, to the Executive Producer.
- Oversees day‑to‑day post production, ensuring all projects and operations are running smoothly.
- Monitors staffing needs outside the in‑house roster and alerts stakeholders with additional costs for approval.
- Ensures the artistic and creative integrity of the project is upheld according to client needs and Creative Director recommendations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Post Producer role.
- Familiarity with editing, motion, VFX, and finishing pipelines.
- Strong multitasking, budget tracking, and communication skills.
- Experience with tools like Frame.io, Airtable, or Monday.com.
- Excellent client, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and works well under tight and changing deadlines.
- Deep understanding of post production costs and workflow.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Strong problem solver in a video production setting.
Compensation
US Pay Range: $115,000 - $165,000 USD
