At One Way Event Productions we’re seeking a dynamic and experienced
Audio Visual Sales Manager
(Client Partner & Solutions Seller) within the AV technology sector. This role involves building strong client relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and delivering tailored AV solutions that meet client needs.
We’re not a gear‑rental counter—we’re a partner. As our
Audio Visual Sales Manager , you’ll turn client goals into clear, reliable solutions and steward each opportunity from first hello through signed scope. You love discovery, ask smart questions, and translate needs into
quotes and proposals
that are clean, accurate, and show‑ready.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven track record in B2B sales and technology solutions. As a key member of our team, you will drive growth by leveraging your expertise in account management and technical sales to expand our market presence and foster long‑term client partnerships.
What you’ll do
Join
discovery calls ; schedule and host follow‑ups with clients and venue partners.
Participate in
site visits/walkthroughs
and turn notes into layouts, SOWs, and timelines.
Build
scopes of work
that balance technical integrity, budget, and client goals.
Build
quotes
(gear, labor, power, logistics) and craft
proposal narratives
that make decisions easy.
Price responsibly, apply margins, and flag risks or alternates; prepare change orders as needed.
Use our
quoting/proposal software
to deliver branded, error‑free documents on deadline.
Own inbound & venue partner channels
Field inbound inquiries ; qualify, route, and respond quickly with next steps.
Take orders from hotel/venue partners ; confirm details, update BEOs/specs, and align expectations.
Keep communications crisp and hospitality‑forward across email, phone, and meetings.
Pipeline, CRM, and coordination
Keep the
CRM
current and tidy: stages, notes, contacts, tasks, and close dates.
Build simple forecasts and weekly deal reviews; hand off cleanly to Production with a clear brief.
Collaborate with operations on availability, crew assumptions, and delivery constraints.
What you’ll bring
1–3+ years
in event/AV sales, production, or solutions engineering with hands‑on
audio/visual
literacy.
Proven ability to scope corporate meetings, breakouts, brand activations, or galas.
Customer‑service & hospitality mindset —you make clients feel seen, valued, and heard.
Proficiency with
CRM platforms
(HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and disciplined pipeline hygiene.
Comfort with
quoting & proposal software
(Lasso/Flex/Rentman, Monday, Proposify, etc.).
Strong written visuals: SOWs, simple drawings, and show‑ready documentation.
Organized, deadline‑reliable, and calm under pressure; you thrive in fast timelines.
NYC market familiarity (hotels, venues, institutional clients) is a plus.
Maintain industry knowledge by staying updated on emerging AV technologies, market trends, and competitors.
Technical familiarity
Video: switchers, projection/LED Wall basics, graphics/playback workflows.
Lighting: DMX basics, room looks, stage wash.
Power/rigging awareness and vendor coordination.
