We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic

Product Marketing Manager

to drive our highest-level messaging, positioning, and activation for the Tableau portfolio. This role is central to defining how Tableau is understood by the market, key business personas, and internal stakeholders.

You will be the architect of Tableau’s overarching

portfolio messaging and positioning , ensuring coherence across our full product suite. A critical component of this role will be

business persona targeting and messaging , developing deep expertise in the pain points and aspirations of key executives and functional buyers. Additionally, you will play a leading role in

keynote development and execution

for major global events, crafting and delivering the main stage story that showcases Tableau's vision, innovation, and value proposition.

Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional storytelling abilities, and the capacity to synthesize complex product and market information into clear, resonant narratives. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Executive Leadership, and the broader Marketing team to deliver a unified and impactful message that accelerates pipeline and strengthens Tableau’s market leadership.

Responsibilities & Impact

Lead and create the core value proposition and selling points.

Translate our marketing initiatives into actionable programs to help fuel the sales pipeline, close deals, and deliver growth.

Operationalize our internal marketing communications.

Develop repeatable, scalable processes to better train sales teams, and drive always-on sales plays and programs.

Build consensus, alignment, and engagement across Campaigns, Creative, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pricing Strategy, and Customer Success

Lead messaging and positioning strategy and execution for target personas in partnership with global Go-to-Market, Campaigns, Content, and Corporate Marketing teams.

Required Skills

Product Marketing Foundation:

5+ years of experience in

Product Marketing

for an enterprise SaaS or analytics product, including GTM planning and content development.

Strategic Narrative & Synthesis:

Proven ability to synthesize complex technical and market information into a

clear, compelling, and executive-level narrative

and value proposition.

Keynote/Event Experience:

Direct experience in

producing, editing, or managing content

for large-scale industry keynotes or flagship company events.

Preferred Skills

Executive Presence:

Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills necessary to

influence executives

and deliver high-stakes presentations (live and recorded).

Cross-Functional Leadership:

Demonstrated success in

leading and aligning cross-functional teams

(Product Management, Sales, Creative) without direct reporting authority.

Business Acumen:

Deep understanding of enterprise business challenges, organizational structures, and the process of

selling complex B2B software

to functional buyers.

Analytics Domain Expertise:

Prior experience in the

data, business intelligence, or analytics software space , with familiarity with modern data stack concepts.

Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge:

Familiarity with the

Salesforce platform and clouds , and the ability to articulate Tableau's value within the broader Customer 360 context.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $155,400- $213,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
