Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated BIM Modeler/CAD Technician specializing in Electrical or Mechanical systems for data center projects. As an experienced Designer passionate about BIM, you will play a crucial role in our MEP team, tackling complex projects with innovative solutions. Your work will significantly impact the design and construction of data center facilities by preparing BIM models and construction documents.
Job Title Revit Designer
Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems for data centers using Revit to create and maintain BIM models.
Work independently and collaboratively within a team to accomplish tasks.
Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of Electrical building systems.
Publish construction documentation for Electrical building systems designs efficiently to meet deadlines.
Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as needed.
Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
Handle multiple projects across various geographical locations.
Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
Essential Skills
2+ years of design/engineering experience with Electrical Building systems or Mechanical Plumbing in mission‑critical facilities.
2+ years of experience using Revit for producing complex BIM models and construction drawings.
Practical knowledge and understanding of codes and safety regulations related to the MEP industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience related to Data Center design and construction.
Experience with developing Revit Family content.
Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, and Procore.
Work Environment Join a vibrant DS BIM design team of 35 members working on delivering data center designs. The team thrives on good energy and a willingness to learn and adapt to the processes used within the DS BIM group. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the largest projects globally.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
