Job Description The Payments Services Technology Team is looking for an
IT Solutions Designer
to support the US ACH Payment system and collaborate with teams to deliver timely solutions. The role requires a strategic thinker who is creative, forward‑thinking, and can thrive in a fast‑paced environment. The candidate will build upon the intraday platform and work closely with other teams.
Key Responsibilities
Review technical deliverables during design and development to ensure quality and identify gaps.
Work with the Technology Project Manager, Business Analysts/Systems Analysts to set metrics and performance goals.
Comply with enterprise technology delivery practices, standards, and project management disciplines.
Deliver solutions that meet milestones, stay within budget, and adhere to quality and security standards.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend strategic solutions for cost effectiveness.
Conduct code reviews and operational readiness reviews; support gating and sign‑offs.
Support knowledge management processes for LOB/portfolio.
Leverage reusable components and ensure traceability to business requirements.
Address application and data issues across capabilities and releases.
Provide technical support for escalated incidents/outages.
Stay current with emerging technologies and enhance expertise.
Prioritize workload to deliver quality results on time.
Promote a positive work environment and timely communication of issues.
Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Establish relationships across business and technology partners.
Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units.
Qualifications And Skills
Proven experience supporting applications hosted on virtual and cloud‑based systems.
5+ years working with Operating Systems, Active Directory, MS SQL Server, MS Exchange, Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing, and Shell Scripting.
Experience with Backup and Recovery operations.
Log Analysis and Performance Monitoring experience.
Collaboration tools proficiency.
Experience with File Transfer Platforms, Cloud & Distributed Computing, Middleware, Configuration Management, Federated Authentication, and APIs is a plus.
Great team player.
Education
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate, or equivalent work experience.
Depth & Scope
Performs complex technical tasks independently.
Advanced knowledge of business, technical environment, processes, tools, languages, operating systems, and solutions design.
Subject matter expert in at least one discipline; consults with clients or project teams on research, design, support, development, and testing.
Works independently as senior developer and provides technical guidance to others.
Leads development of detailed project plans and understands risk of integrating third‑party solutions.
Typically reports to an IT Development Manager or above.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.
5–7 years related experience.
