POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a passionate Mid-Level Architectural Designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to grow professionally. This role involves leading design initiatives and working closely with project teams across various market sectors from conceptual stages through construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong research capabilities, exceptional graphic design skills, and the ability to create compelling renderings and models that effectively communicate innovative design concepts. TYPICAL DUTIES: Participate actively in establishing project design and sustainability goals. Lead the development of conceptual designs that align with project objectives. Ensure compliance with relevant ordinances and code requirements. Conduct material and product research to support project development. Create engaging presentations, project reports, and narratives, enhancing the graphical representation of ideas. Contribute to improving team efficiency and work quality. Collaborate with other discipline leaders and attend project meetings as needed. Document interpretations and review submittals during bidding and construction phases. Utilize generative design and automation tools for effective planning and design iterations. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year degree) is required. Licensure is preferred; active pursuit of licensure is highly desired. LEED and/or WELL Accreditation is an asset. A minimum of 4 years of experience in the A/E industry showcasing proficiency in diverse project sizes and complexities. Strong planning, design, and graphic skills are essential. Commitment to an integrated design process within an interdisciplinary environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Ability to motivate and mentor team members while delegating tasks effectively. Proficiency in BIM/Revit, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required. Familiarity with additional software like Rhino, Concept Board/Miro, InDesign, Illustrator, Bluebeam, and Revizto is preferred. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible. Ability to collaborate well under tight deadlines. Dedication to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer. Effective communication skills in writing and verbally, including through video conferencing. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities. Willingness to travel to project sites for meetings and evaluations. Capability to navigate project sites for observation and assessments.
