Position Summary:
This position requires a person who has a well-rounded knowledge of television systems including intercom, video, audio and control systems workflow. Person must also have a strong understanding of computer networking environments and the capability of troubleshooting across them. This individual will be part of the Engineering group and will provide technical support for the Referee Replay Center, NBA broadcasts as well as retrieval systems. This person will also ... and must be able to act independently and make reasonable and cognitive decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Interact with and support Referee officials, Production, IT and Operations Staff
- Support Evertz Dreamcatcher based NBA Replay System ensuring smooth operation nightly for officiating staff.
- Support Evertz Dreamcatcher based In Venue Replay Systems for NBA Teams
- Support/manage Riedel Artist, Bolero, & RTS Communications Systems.
- Perform on call on-site remote emergency troubleshooting and repairs
- Assist with supervision, facility design, construction and installations as necessary.
- Author detailed technical reports.
- Arena Network (HSAN) support; including remote troubleshooting and the ability to lead remote technicians to resolution.
- Liaison to vendor for product support (rentals, upgrades, new product development, etc.).
- Minor equipment repairs (cables, PC board replacement, etc.).
- 4 - 8 years of technical engineering experience.
- College degree in Communications/Engineering or related field required.
- In lieu, a college degree significant field experience will be considered.
- Must have a strong knowledge of audio and experience supporting intercom systems and related technologies.
- Must have strong knowledge of broadcast systems and operations and possess the ability to assemble and operate studio, and on-air production systems.
- Knowledge and ability to handle systems routing, quality control issues, and variations in production requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively.
- Willingness to travel and accept shift and weekend assignments.
- Experience with Evertz systems a plus (Dreamcatcher, VUE, Magnum)
- Experience with HD broadcasts and knowledge of HD systems.
Salary Range:
$115,000 - $140,000
