Ideal candidates should be willing to travel during the work week and work overtime, and a CDL Class A/B is required (we are open to training candidates with a CDL permit).
Job Summary
As a CCTV Camera Operator, you will operate and maintain CUES cameras and tractors to carry out essential cleaning and TV work for various projects. Your role may involve working with a maintenance crew, CIPP prep crew, or CIPP lining crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various labor-intensive tasks on heavy construction projects.
- Utilize robotic TV equipment to integrate center-to-center manhole identifications as per NASSCO standards.
- Identify defects and service locations accurately.
- Complete reports and submit daily logs to management.
- Ensure timely submission of deliverables and associated reports.
- Execute essential cleaning and TV work as required for projects.
- Distribute notices to residents and businesses as instructed.
- Adhere to all site-specific safety requirements established by the client.
- Service, clean, and maintain camera equipment along with assigned vehicles.
- Coordinate workflow with jet operators and TV labor.
- Assist in water meter installations.
- Assemble and disassemble housings and couplings.
- Use safety equipment properly and follow standard operating procedures, reporting issues to the Superintendent or Safety Director.
- Perform any other tasks as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Experience in the sewer industry.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining CCTV equipment for sewers.
- Able to lift over 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, and perform strenuous labor in challenging conditions.
- Must be comfortable entering confined spaces, including manholes.
- Knowledge of proper equipment usage and materials in heavy construction.
- Understanding of safety precautions.
- Familiarity with CUES cameras and tractors.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of IT Pipes and PACP training is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and follow predefined schedules.
- Understand and communicate verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Dependable attendance and consistency in work schedule.
- Knowledge of jet truck operations and nozzle functions for effective communication with jet operators.
