Job Description
Alabama State University, Institutional Advancement, invites applications for the position of Media Relations Specialist. Under general supervision, this positions functions as a digital communications manager and professional responsible for developing and executing strategies to promote Alabama State University's brand across various social media platforms and website, including creating content, engaging with audiences, analyzing data, and monitoring trends to achieve marketing goals, while aligning with the broader digital marketing strategy; essentially, to manage Alabama State University's online presence specifically through social media channels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications or a similar field preferred. Strong writing and communication skills, understanding of different social media platforms and their best practices, creativity and visual design skills, data analysis and reporting abilities, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with other marketing teams.
