Senior UX/UI Designer

GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer‑obsessed, and results‑oriented Senior UX/UI Designer. The ideal candidate will comfortably work with a variety of business partners and deliver design solutions. The role involves collaborating with customers, engineers, and product management to determine design requirements, create mockups, user workflows, conduct user research, and provide feedback.

Base pay range

$97,375.00 / yr - $172,200.00 / yr

Annual Salary

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Actual compensation is based on experience, education, location, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs.
  • Translate complex ideas into understandable concepts and solutions that evolve and enhance the product experience.
  • Manage shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and support early product definition.
  • Advocate for the customer through human‑centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing.
  • Facilitate and participate in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs.
  • Create processes, user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications.
  • Deliver design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a master’s degree) in User Experience design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience designing for cross‑channel interfaces such as responsive web and native mobile.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across design processes (user research, user experience design, UI design, and specifications).
  • Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with working in an established design system and agile development teams.
