The Developer Link are looking for a Unity VR Technical Artist to join a MedTech Training VR company based in Forth Worth. They're looking for someone who can craft immersive, high-performance VR experiences that don’t just look amazing, but run flawlessly. If you love tweaking assets, optimizing like a wizard, and collaborating across disciplines, this might be your next big adventure.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and updating VR courses and art assets.
  • Iterating on course flow using a custom node-based authoring tool (logic over code).
  • Polishing art, timelines, and animations to meet visual and performance goals.
  • Owning VR optimization: LODs, draw-call reduction, baked GI, and profiler-driven fixes.
  • Building/importing 3D models and animations for real-time VR environments.
  • Collaborating daily with designers, engineers, and SMEs to ship polished builds.
  • Testing, validating, and improving UX with performance at the forefront.


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience shipping VR or real-time 3D projects with Unity (C#, URP, Prefabs, Timelines).
  • Strong performance optimization skills for VR, including lightmapping.
  • A solid foundation in 3D art—modelling, texturing, rigging, animation.
  • Comfort with scripting (tools, editor extensions, runtime logic).
  • An eye for aesthetics balanced with data-driven performance tuning.


Bonus Points For

  • Quest optimization, Shader Graph, or node-based authoring tools.
  • Experience in healthcare or ed-tech VR content.
  • QA chops and a knack for spotting edge cases before they become bugs.
