Department Overview Our Experience Design & Research team is a multidisciplinary group of UX/CX Designers, User Researchers, and Behavioural Scientists. We’re at the forefront of understanding users, shaping evidence‑based experiences, and translating insights into impactful products. Job Description This is a unique opportunity to lead evaluative and measurement‑focused UX research within mission‑critical environments. You will design and execute studies that demonstrate the impact of research on product, design, and business outcomes, while shaping how behavioural insights inform strategy. What You’ll Do Establish a UX Metrics Practice: Define, implement, and own the key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for user experience, including frameworks for measuring usability, satisfaction (e.g. SUS, CSAT), and task success. Lead Quantitative Research: Design, launch, and analyze large‑scale quantitative research studies, including surveys, A/B tests, and behavioural data analysis from product analytics platforms. Champion Qualitative Rigor: Lead and execute foundational and evaluative qualitative research, including in‑depth interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing. Synthesize and Triangulate: Masterfully weave together quantitative and qualitative data to create a holistic, comprehensive understanding of our users. Tell the full story, connecting the “what” from analytics with the “why” from qualitative insights. Strategic Influence: Translate research findings into actionable, strategic recommendations that directly inform product roadmaps, design decisions, and business strategy. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with leaders in Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Data Science to identify research needs, align on priorities, and drive user‑centred outcomes. Mentorship & Advocacy: Act as a thought leader and mentor for UX research within the company. Educate and empower team members to apply research best practices and develop a deeper appreciation for both quantitative and qualitative methods. Communication & Storytelling: Create and deliver compelling presentations and reports that bring user stories and data to life for a variety of audiences, from individual contributors to executive leadership. What We’re Looking For 6+ years of hands‑on experience conducting research in large matrixed organisations and complex product structures, with at least 2 years of experience managing junior to mid‑level researchers. Master’s Degree in Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or a related field. Expertise in establishing and scaling a company‑wide metrics practice, leveraging experience metrics to define product success and deliver measurable, user‑centric improvements. Proven ability to define and track the business impact of a UX Research team, linking changes in user metrics directly to measurable financial or strategic returns. Expertise in experimental design, survey methodology, and advanced statistical analysis; proficient with Pendo, Qualtrics, SQL, Python, R, or SPSS. Proven experience planning, recruiting for, and conducting a range of in‑person research, including ethnographic‑style fieldwork, contextual inquiries, and on‑site usability testing. Portfolio demonstrating integrated mixed‑methods research that answers complex questions and drives impact. Strategic thinker and self‑starter who identifies the right questions to move the business forward and launches initiatives independently. Iterative research approach that is seamlessly integrated into the product development process. Strong communicator and gifted storyteller who distils complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for any audience. Global collaboration and availability: willing to work in USA Central Time and travel internationally to UK, US, and Poland offices several times per year. Bonus Points Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or a related field. Experience in a fast‑paced, agile environment. Experience mentoring or managing other researchers.
