JOB DESCRIPTION Fox News Media is looking for Senior Coordinating Producer, Politics, to join their team in Washington, DC. As the Senior Coordinating Producer, Politics, you will assist in leading FOX News Media’s planning and implementation of an overall strategy for political coverage. You will help the network build relationships within the political world and assist with introducing candidates to all of FOX News Media – putting FNM in the most powerful position to outpace the competition. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Build contacts, network, and foster relationships with current and prospective candidates and their staff; state and national parties and political PACs Work with Political Team to prioritize and summarize key races for midterms, general election, gubernatorial, AG and others Oversee the cross-platform political calendar, making sure key events and candidate visits are listed and easily visible to all departments Oversee daily communication with all stakeholders at Fox News Media about ongoing coverage plans Proactively confirm political news – sending press releases & securing statements to ensure FOX News Media can break stories quickly Maintain updated databases of primary/general/special election dates, polling hours, early voting, primary types, delegate tracking and other deadlines Regularly review FEC filings, fundraising and polling data and race ratings Research and keep up to date on developments out of all political parties & independent efforts – turning developing trends and strategies into reporter pitches Oversee correspondent and newsgathering teams in the field – being on-call to support them editorially and logistically Work with Political Team to set up off-the-record meetings with key political figures; assist in coordinating town halls, debates & other political coverage Serve as city producer for caucus/primary coverage, conventions and election nights Available to field produce as needed WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience 10 years’ experience in television Experience covering campaigns and elections Experience coordinating large special events for television Strong editorial judgement and writing skills We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $140,000.00-160,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
