Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

About the Role The Lead Engineer focused on Content Management will own the backend development of a new Laravel-based platform, designed to manage high-volume file uploads, metadata, and partner integrations. This role will work closely with cross‑functional teams to architect scalable APIs, modernize legacy systems, and deliver a reliable foundation for future product innovation.

Key Responsibilities • Own the backend architecture and implementation for the content management platform. • Design and develop scalable REST APIs and support partner integrations. • Modernize or rebuild legacy content systems, ensuring efficient file processing and storage on AWS S3. • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape product features and technical roadmap.

Qualifications

6+ years of backend development experience, including technical leadership or ownership.

Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.

Experience with large file processing, S3 storage, and queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).

Deep understanding of REST APIs and system integration best practices.

Experience modernizing or rebuilding legacy content systems.

Experience working with cross‑functional engineering and product teams.
