Sprouts Farmers Market is on an exciting journey to invest and grow its Marketing Technology stack, from the source customer data storage layer to activation via owned and paid channels. We are actively crafting a multi‑year technical roadmap to methodically grow our personalization capabilities in support of our robust marketing goals. The roadmap includes capability unlocks within existing Marketing Engagement & automation technologies and investment in new tooling that will allow us to identify our customers, know them, protect the data they offer us, and engage with them in a personalized way across all our owned channels, from email, text, push, direct mail, our web and mobile platforms, and via ad technology for retargeting or personalized media and ads.
The IT Product Manager of Marketing Technology is a critical contributor in crafting this strategy and roadmap, and will be responsible for owning, managing, and executing the backlog of work required to realize roadmap commitments. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and providing deep expertise around the configuration, deployment, and optimization of MarTech products, including marketing automation tools and customer data platforms. The IT Product manager will grow a team of skilled product owner and technical analyst professionals as subject matter experts on these tools and capabilities as well as be responsible for ensuring the technical administration of these tools, including access management, monitoring/alerting and day‑to‑day technical support.

Overview of Responsibilities Strategy
Define how we use our technology for personalization, audience targeting and segmentation and contribute to our customer data strategy.
Responsible for leadership in determining priority of work by providing key insights on value, scope, cost, and resourcing needs.
of strategic projects including orchestrating discovery, scoping, and implementation for complex cross‑platform MarTech projects.
Grow a team of subject matter experts in Marketing Technology to deliver new capabilities and administer existing tooling.
Identify ways to and build Marketing Technology including processes, adoption of tooling, and opportunities to automate for efficiency gains.
Roadmap
Act as an IT Product Manager of the entire portfolio by representing the needs of the customer and that drive the greatest alignment to business and customer value.
Create, maintain, and prioritize the MarTech based upon pulse checks with the business and comparing with trends and other industry leaders.
Act as an internal SME on technical topics related to marketing technology informing technology roadmaps and working alongside product owners/ business analysts to coordinate key enhancements and improvements to new or existing platforms.
Knowledge of system integrations (API, Batch), Marketing technology tools such as CDPs, Marketing Automation and engagement platforms, and ESPs and robust SQL skills.
Execution
Build positive relationships with business partners and peers on other multi‑functional teams such as Engineering, and Analytics.
Lead resource‑matrixed Agile scrum team as an IT product manager, owning the product backlog, crafting user stories and acceptance criteria in partnership with business analysts/product owners, prioritizing new feature or enhancement stories, bugs, and discovery or tech tasks based on perceived user value, metrics and release planning.
Set, communicate, and keep team focused on sprint goals.
Implement, own, manage, and optimize Sprouts Marketing Engagement Platform (Braze) as a platform subject matter expert.
Design, document and support automated processes in marketing systems and related integrations.
Ability to solution within MarTech ecosystem to drive results, ability to partner with architects as appropriate and document, align parties to, and formally to architecture review board to drive shared support of the go forward solution.
Execute against defined roadmap and technical solutions.
Practical experience in applying key BA techniques (use cases, user stories, root cause analysis, prototyping, prioritization, mind mapping, functional decomposition, items tracking, risk management, estimation, decision analysis, etc.) to be able to coach a team of product owners and business analysts.
Support
Alongside Customer Data Architects, manage the customer data model within our engagement platforms as well as integrations across our customer engagement and ad platform partners.
Write data flow, process flow, and other necessary documentation and contribute to growing knowledgebase / MarTech Wiki.
Influence and shape product support model by crafting approach to to level 1 and level 2 support. Function as Level 3 escalated support to resolve assigned tickets and improve vendor escalation feedback loops.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills are critical to the success of the individual in this role. Sprouts fosters a highly collaborative environment and the nature of this role will be significantly cross functional.
Ability to work in a matrixed environment and build trusted relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders.
An understanding of how to communicate priorities, mitigate impacts, and manage multiple technical projects with competing deadlines and stakeholders, and where requirements often change.
Executive presence with the ability to present ideas, make recommendations, provide rationale, and advise leaders and their teams on communications and marketing strategy.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product/ direct technical product management experience.
7+ years working with or supporting marketing technology (ESPs, CDPS) preferably in a high‑growth environment.
3+ years of experience with system integrations, data mappings, configurations, implementations, data migration and administration.
2+ years of managerial experience leading cross‑functional teams and projects.
Working level knowledge of SQL. Experience within Databricks Environment a plus.
Recent expertise with implementing a customer data platform (CDP).
Understanding of data architecture, data models and data flows.
Knowledge of paid media integrations.
Understanding of data privacy, consent management and preference management.
Experience with or exposure to other MarTech technologies.
Lead junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support their growth and development. Coach others on their career development aspirations.
Experience working in Azure DevOps or a similar work management tool.
