Role Description

We are seeking a Commission-Based Sales Associate who also has experience with online marketing and maintaining GLC website for a full or part‑time, on‑site position located in San Clemente, CA.

This role involves engaging with customers through our website, social media and in person customers to drive sales, delivering exceptional service, and developing strong product knowledge of GLC’s rug and home furnishing collections. Responsibilities include managing GLC website and marketing, interacting with customers with product selection, meeting and exceeding sales targets, maintaining an organized showroom, and ensuring accurate transactions.

The ideal candidate will provide personalized recommendations, build lasting client relationships, and support both in‑store and online sales efforts. Experience with online marketing and social media marketing is required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales, customer service, and online marketing, with the ability to engage clients and close sales

No prior product knowledge required; training will be provided (experience with rugs, art, or home furnishings is a plus)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent time management and organizational abilities; must be a strong multitasker

Previous retail or commission-based sales experience is preferred but not required

Ability to work on‑site in San Clemente and future GLC locations, with a flexible schedule including weekends

Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working in a commission‑based environment
