Design Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead our design team in the development and execution of innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in various engineering disciplines and be adept at managing design processes from concept through execution, ensuring all projects meet client expectations and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design team to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Oversee the integration of various engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering.

Utilize advanced software tools such as Revit and BIM for design development and presentation.

Implement design strategies that incorporate AV/VR technologies and digital twin concepts.

Conduct conceptual estimating and ensure design-build processes are adhered to.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects align with client expectations and contractual obligations.

Facilitate communication between stakeholders to enhance project execution and logistics solutions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and practices, including LEED and other relevant certifications.

Identify and mitigate potential constructability issues during the design phase.

Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, utilizing tools like Flex Sim for simulation and planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with relevant certifications.

Proven experience in design management within construction and engineering sectors.

Strong proficiency in AIA, Revit, BIM, and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with automation processes and understanding of manufacturing environments, particularly in Chemical, Food and Beverage, and Semiconductor industries.

Knowledge of conceptual estimating and design-build project delivery.

Familiarity with project management methodologies (FEL 1-4) and logistics solutions.

Ability to identify and meet customer expectations through effective design layout and execution.
