The Opportunity Join our dynamic Business Performance team as an Organization and Workforce Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing workforce, talent, and mobility strategies. You will be instrumental in future‑proofing our operations through the design, development, and influence on operating models and continuous change. As a trusted advisor, you will develop and implement workforce strategies that align with business and functional strategy to meet business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding workforce requirements to design organizations at the operating model and organization design level to achieve strategic intent.

Key Responsibilities Our approach to organizational design helps guide our clients from assessment through to implementation. You’ll lead large‑scale organizational design projects and advise stakeholders while building relationships with colleagues and clients. You’ll also work collaboratively to deliver innovative and insightful solutions for a range of challenges, from how to best structure teams to deliver on the organization’s strategy to how the organization’s structure can allow for more agile ways of working.

Skills and Attributes for Success

You’ll be expected to lead project workstreams, from planning through implementation – including managing project resources and budgets effectively, and identifying and mitigating risks and issues.

Understanding of using organizational design, strategic workforce planning and change management as integral components of transformational initiatives focused on accelerating business performance, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and the organizational design implications.

Demonstrate technical competence in our key capabilities and take a practical/business‑driven approach to solving complex client challenges.

Contribute to generate profitable revenue by identifying additional engagement opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients.

Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for major change initiatives and/or decisions.

Encourage and facilitate collaboration among team members, and promote an inclusive working environment.

Understanding of human resources opportunities, challenges and issues in at least one of the sectors we serve (e.g., Oil & Gas, Health, Telecommunications, Power & Utilities, Insurance, Media & Entertainment).

Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals and delivering presentations for potential clients.

Passionate about advancing the PAS practice by leading the development of thought leadership and EY approaches, tools and methodologies in organization design.

Coach and develop teams and colleagues, and act as a visible role model for our people.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

Relevant professional service experience, with a global management consultancy firm, or niche consultancy in which you gained exposure to a large‑scale project(s).

6‑9 years of prior experience in operating model development, organizational structure and design, strategic workforce planning, capability mapping, organizational assessment, and governance, with a track record in current job applying one or more of these capabilities.

Experience of leading organ. design engagements in one or more of the following functional domains – supply chain, IT, finance, customer, sales & marketing – and have worked in large multi‑disciplinary teams as part of functional and enterprise‑wide transformation engagements.

Proven track record in managing and analysing large datasets and using analytics in project execution, and deep expertise in working with and engaging clients around the use of digital assets in org. design projects.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of business, human resources, psychology.

Willingness to travel as needed, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment with an average of three (3) days per week at a client site or within an EY office.

What We Offer You

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $125,900 to $231,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $151,200 to $262,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our total rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client‑serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
